Leeds, 14/11, 2011
This was the first show of the UK-part of the tour. Leeds is a pretty cool city in the northern parts of Great Britain and the venue for the night, Academy, was located in the best damn part of the city.
We were right n the middle of the campus of an artschool and just a few minutes walk down the street took you to the city center. A square not far from the venue had a christmas market in full effect.
It smelled of choclate and chestnuts when we passed it on our way down to a café a few blocks aways to drink our morning coffe. We all enjoyed the walk and the sight of cute students all around. There streets were busy and the christmas market really felt really homely.
I didnt feel to well today though. I kind of felt like I was having a cold coming my way the night before in Brugge. So today I was on a strict water and aspirin diet to get it out of my system. I hate to be sick during tour, and it always happens on the last stretch. It never goes wrong.
The show was good though, eventhough I didnt see much of it since I was busy working down in the production office.
It was the only show on the UK-part of the tour that werent sold out. It still was a solid 1300 people in the venue.
I stood on the balcony when A Day To Remember when they played their aucoustic onchoir “ If it means a lot to you” and it got me goosebumps all over my arms. The crowd were singing so loud it was crazy. I usually try to watch that song everynight and but tonight it was crazy for real.
I went to bed early and watched movies after the show. Felt boring. Well, whatever, I´d rather be back in full effect for the last party-shows than being half-sick for the remaining of the tour.
